This flight was almost a 1/2A6-2 flight, but I felt like I was wimping out. Altitude was excellent, but I shouldn't have gone with a full chute. In trouble as soon as it ejected, the Alpha II wound up on the roof of the doctors building on the other side of US 27. It eventually blew off and caught in a tree. I was able to jump and grab a fin, then pull it down so I could grab the nose cone. The chute then popped free and the whole model was recovered with only a light roof rash.
Actual Altitude: | 251 Feet |
