This is a video of the first launch of the Big Lincoln class of rockets. The Big Lincoln 1 is single stage high powered rocket (NAR L1 x3 cluster) powered by three Aerotech G35 composite rocket engines. The video was shot with three cameras. During this launch, only two of the three engines ignited - this provided the minimum required thrust to overcome the high material weight of this particular design. Future designs will use epoxy composite fins and lightweight body tubing to improve L/D while increasing the overall length of the rocket.
