First launch of Aerotech Cheetah 32 inch rocket. Launched on March 10, 2011 with reloaded G53-10FJ engine. 5 knot wind at 110 degrees. After visually clearing sky of any aircraft, rocket was launched. Cheetah is rated at 2950 feet with this engine. Rocket was launched completely out of site, and as it descended into view a small single engine aircraft could be heard approaching from behind launch position. Aircraft flew nearly over launch position at very low altitude (150-200 feet above ground). Passing airplane is caught briefly on onboard key chain cam taped to rocket fuselage. I believe geese can also be heard which were seen overhead.
