DIY Chute Release for under $60 (Part 1)

Version 1 of a home-made chute release. This device uses an electric cigarette lighter to burn an elastic cord to release a parachute at a predetermined altitude. The release is controlled by an Eggtimer Quark altimeter. This version has an electrical short somewhere when the charging circuit is activated, so this particular incarnation will never fly. Stay tuned for revisions!
