This is an old Estes kit that I simply had to have! It is such an awesome sci-fi design. Little did I know that it would be the most difficult rocket I have ever worked on. It is made almost entirely out of cardstock. Getting the edges to be clean and smooth was very challenging! I used lots of filler and multiple coats of paint. When I finally got around to putting on decals, I discovered that they were very brittle. Too late! I had already used some and had to match them, or else remove them all and print my own, which wouldn't be the same. 

It was a grueling process from start to finish. I'm not sure if I'm ever going to fly it but DANG! It looks good.
