Rocket PicBrief:
This is Estes' first rocket. It has been out of production for a number of years. I'd say it's almost impossible to find a complete kit. This was a clone that I made out of spare parts and wood from one of my dad's busted model airplane.

Construction:
This kit was made from spare parts. I got the plans from Jimz and used parts from an old Mini Bertha. The rocket has tumble recovery, so no parachute or streamer. There are 3 fins which need to be cut. The cone is glued on. You then punch out 2 small vent holes on the top sides.

Instructions were just looking at a picture from Jimz. My NC was too tall (being from a Mini Bertha) so I did some sanding down. I used hot glue on attaching the fins, which works good. It is a easy build. I think it was a skill 1 rocket. No special tools really needed.

Finishing:
There were 2 decals. But I just made ovals on the side, since I had no decals. My paint skills were pretty lame when I built this. I went with the look as I saw in a Ninfinger Catalog photo. I used a Sharpie to paint the black fin.

Construction Rating: 3 out of 5

Flight:
I haven't flown it yet. It needs no wadding, as with all tumble recovery rockets. I will use a 1/2A6-2 for first flight.

Recovery:
Like I said, I haven't flown it yet, but from what I've seen from my Quark, it should come down fast. Probably go up fast and high.

Flight Rating: 4 out of 5

Summary:
This kit is good. Fairly easy to clone and has a pretty slick paint job. I have yet to fly it, but it is a nice rocket for the starter. You'll have to clone it if you want one.

Overall Rating: 4 out of 5
