A teen attempts his Junior Level 1 High Power Rocketry Certification on a Loc IV with a H-123-W motor to 2,000 feet at Snow Ranch, California on 1/8/11. The nose cone and parachute separated from the body tube during ejection. Amazingly, only a fin broke. I'll try again in February. Special thanks to Steve Kurlinski and Aaron for helping with the certification process. And thanks to Hunter Akins for being an expert rocket carrier and for retrieving the nose cone, of which landed a mile away.
