Given the very restricted launch area I felt I could get a safe flight on an A8-3. Well I was right but only barely. A B6-4 would have been a far better choice and still within safety limits. Deployment came at about 40 feet above the ground with the chute catching wind just about 2 feet before the rear of the rocket hit the grass. Fortunately the only damage seems to be a hairline stress crack in one fin. I'll wick some CA into that. And the shockcord has seen its last flight. Time to replace it before it causes a separation.
