Cloud deck lifting quickly, light winds but blowing directly back over the flight line.  Tried to angle to launch rod out into the field, but used too much.  Nice big Chuff, from the motor before it lit, nice high arcing boost, right up to/into the base of the clouds.  Lost sight of it after motor burnout, and heard the ejection event.  Never picked it up, but several folks saw it all the way down and gave me a good line.  Long walk, no damage.
