Flight Log - 2018-02-03 - Matthew Bond's Estes Der Red Max
Re-released version of an Estes classic. Basic 3FNC design with the well known "Toungue in Cheek" German military styling. 18mm motor mount and an 18" parachute.

Drag race between my Red Max and the Daughter's Pink Max. Both motors lit right away, the Pink Max was the clear winner off the pad. Red max arced into the wind during boost, over the top and heading down at ejection. The ejection charge separated the nose cone, but the chute/protector bundle lodged in the BT and never deployed. Rocket tumble recovered on the field with no damage.
