NCSU USLI Rocket Launch - 4/17/2010 (2011-05-31)

The North Carolina State University Rocket Team, Tacho Lycos, recently had a successful launch as part of the NASA University Student Launch Initiative competition in Huntsville, Alabama. The rocket flew to an official altitude of 5112 feet while recording temperature and accelerometer data in order to calculate the skin friction on the rocket through the use of the reference temperature concept in boundary layer theory. Tacho Lycos Rocket Launch (half-scale) (2011-05-31)

The High Power Rocketry Team at NC State known as Tacho Lycos conducted two flight tests of its half scale model for the NASA USLI competition. This video is a fun compilation of both videos from test conducted in Midland, NC and Bayboro NC. The name of the rocket is Lil' Lycos. GO PACK!
