Final flight was the Dr Zooch Saturn V, though I called it Saturn IV.99 because I hadn’t had time to put on the decals and dull coat — I was still gluing detail pieces on yesterday afternoon. But I wanted to fly it today because for the July 20 launch we want to fly only Saturn Vs that have been flight tested previously. No good having an unstable flight with the news cameras rolling. And I expect to miss the June club launch, so today was the day. I flew it on a C6-3… and it skywrote. Exactly the kind of flight we don’t want in July. I’m going to do the decals and dull coat, but I’m not flying this one again.
