Liberty Middle School's 2011 TARC rocket takes off - and Vernier's iOS app is able to estimate position and speed in the 1st second of motion (my fat fingers not withstanding). Everything was referenced to the launch rod, assumed to be the standard 4 feet. Instant physics!
