SHAC Jam is the grand finale celebration in Sam Houston Area Council for the 100th Anniversary of Scouting. One of the highlight events for SHAC Jam will be an attempt at the Guinness World Record for Most Simultaneous Model Rocket kits ever launched. The existing record of 965 rockets was set in 2007 by scouts from Austin, Texas. This attempt will launch 3200 Estes model rockets which were built by scouts, friends and family from the Sam Houston Area Council in Houston, Texas. *** UPDATE *** Official rocket launch count was 3130.
