Flight Log - 2017-08-27 - Rick Barnes's Smokin' 38

This rocket is an upscale of one of the first scratch-built designs I came up with as a kid, working from the Estes Designer Special box.  This model draws heavily on Estes parts too, but uses 2 & 2.5" tubing from the Pro Series II line.  The tubes, transition and cone are all off-the shelf PS2, the 38mm motor mount tube is phenolic from MAC Performance, and the fins and centering rings are made by Nat Kinsley.  This upscale flies very straight, just the smaller original!
