My first kit from Red River, and I must say the parts quality and the kit overall was excellent!  I added a payload section by cutting the body tube 3 inches short and including a balsa bulkhead and hollowing out a portion of the nose cone.

A few other minor mods I made was adding a few decals, placing the launch lugs on standoffs, and laminating the fin stock with cardboard before sanding and finishing.  I used thicker string for the parachute shrouds, sized 1-1/2 X the diameter, and connected them using a fishing swivel. Naturally, my model came out heavier than the kit suggests, tipping the scales at 82.3 grams.

Props to Red River, this was the best quality kit I have ever bought (Compared to Estes, Quest, and DynaStar).  I still have to check out Fliskits, Qmodeling, Wolverine and Semroc at least!
