Incra's line of precision rulers feature holes and slots sized to fit a .5 MM (fine) mechanical pencil. The accuracy of marks made through the holes or slots is much greater than measuring marks made on the edge of a traditional ruler.

Incra's rules are also flexible allowing them to conform to surfaces that are not flat.
