The MRC Standard ARM is a kit that has been out of production for a few years. The kit is very nice, it has a baffle unit, 3 different interchangeable motor mounts and a 18 inch red nylon chute! The instructions are good, very informative with good diagrams for every step. The tools needed for construction are: yellow glue, CA, ruler, pencil, hobby knife and spray paint.

Most of the parts fit well minus the plastic fins that go into the fin attachment unit they have for it. The fin tabs need to be trimmed a little to make them fit. Also they give you a Kevlar shock cord, DO NOT attach it as they say to. Make a Estes style shock cord mount and then glue it in place 2-3 inches down the tube. I would also add 3 feet of 1/8 inch elastic shock cord to the Kevlar sInse that is way too short! All other parts fit fine with out and problems. Also they give you a 18mm motor mount, an 24mm motor mount and a 18mm motor mount with room for 2 of their FX motors. This is real nice, all you need to do is twist the motor mount in place and you are ready to fly!

The rocket is pretty sturdy. The decals for the kit are hard to put on because of there age, so take your time. When done with the decals make sure to put a coat of clear coat on them.

For the first flight of my Standard ARM I used a Estes C6-3, nice boost, on ejection the chute did not open till about 100 feet off the ground. Recovered with no damage! On inspection of the rocket I found that the baffle system worked great! 

I give this kit 4 points out of 5. If they had gave you a longer shock cord and the fins fit without trimming I would give it 5 points!
