Manufacturer: | Vaughn Brothers |
Brief:
Mini Motor Powered Screamer
Construction:
All components were accounted for, but I was suprised by the high quality
fiberglass fins (yes, that's right, fiberglass fins on a 13mm rocket!). Nose
cone was balsa, and the two body tubes seemed to be slightly thicker than
Estes.
Minimal instructions, but the kit was easy to assemble. The only thing that was different was the way of shock cord attachment. You get a coupler with two small holes drilled in it. You thread a Kevlar® string through the two holes, and knot it at one end. The other end is then made into a loop and an elastic shock cord is attached.

Finishing:
As usual for Vaughn Brothers, no decals were included and finishing was a snap.
(although my paint job was absolutely horrible)

Flight:
Well, I was anxious to fly this right away, so I used an old 1/2A3-4T from the mosquitos I lost in the past. Zoomed right off the pad nice and straight. Ejection was a little after apogee, but due to the very low weight, there was no zipper.
