Manufacturer: | Newton's 3rd Rocketry |
Style: | Odd-Roc |
Brief:
It's a flying porta-potty! What more can I say?
Construction:
This kit included all parts except epoxy.
Parts List:
All parts are of good quality and fit well with little to no trimming or sanding.
The instructions are very easy to follow with photos for reference and tips on which movies and TV shows to watch while your waiting for your epoxy to cure. I never got to watch anything because I used SuperPoxys' 1 min epoxy. It's strong, cures super fast and at $1.97 a tube at Walmart you can't go wrong.
Finishing:
No finishing is required although the kit does come with vent stickers and tips
to make your potty look more realistic.
Construction Rating: 5 out of 5
Flight:
I've only had the chance to fly my potty once on an E20-4. From what I can tell
this rocket flies well in little to no wind. A 10 mph wind kicked up as the
potty was leaving the rail and it weather cocked very much. The potty should
always be a heads-up flight.
Recovery:
Recovery was a little fast for my liking even with the large streamer. With the
piston ejection system no wadding is needed and there's lots of space in the
top of the potty to pack all recovery components without problems.
Flight Rating: 4 out of 5
Summary:
This is a great oddroc and I can't wait to see the looks it will get at the
local launch.
